So actually ...before the storm ever hit I had left New Orleans and Algiers point and
headed for new pasture....I ended up in San Juan Puerto Rico because a friend had
suggested it was cheap and then I was to have another friend go with me.... a last
minute thing and then he bailed out that night...I had to get on the plane....I paid 527
dollars and 20 cents...I remember having the exact 20 cents as 4 nickels in my pocket
just as if it was today..... I leaned over and paid the lady in cash for that ticket...we
were standing in the airport when I bought it and he said he had the money at
home...we would go to Puerto Rico first thing in the morning at 7:35 my ticket
said......well, needless to say I came here by myself with 220 dollars!!!! man that was
so scary yet fun and exciting, it was like a movie...It was only gonna be just for 2
weeks....now I have been here 4 years????..perhaps 5 now????....My life has
changed so much and I am such a different person.....looking at my old life is like you
looking at it...just faded memerioes....now I am married and me and my wife are gonna
have are first child this years...as I write this she is 5 months pregnant and I yearn
even more and to "know whats next in my life"...well here I am in Puerto rico....check
out my new house!!!!!
